Part 7: Overwhelming Pressure

Psalms 81:6-7 I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket. In your distress you called, and I rescued you. 

  When The Pressures Of Life Become Too Great:

   James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
   Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

   James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

   Matthew 26:37-39 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.” And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

   James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

   John 1:14, 16-17 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. … For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
