Episode 4: My Cup Runs Over!

Psalm 23:1–6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

How To Live With The Thrill Of Contentment:

  1. Give thanks for what I  have  and what I  don’t have .
Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 30:7–9 …Give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.  For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.
  2. Give thanks for what  others have .
Romans 12:15 Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.
Proverbs 14:30 A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.

  3.  Give  generously from  what I have been given.
Psalm 23:5 You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Luke 6:38 “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

  4. Give  praise today  for what I have coming soon  .
Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

  4. Realize  where He is leading  me.
Psalm 84:6 When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.
